The White House Correspondents Dinner

The President and Wanda Sykes from Saturday night.

Some of you won’t be interested in this, but I found it very interesting.  If you don’t care for it just move on to the next post.

  1. Yeah, let’s all hope Obama fails. It’ll be good for everyone…

You people don’t learn don’t you? Pride is a capital sin.

  2. They learn Reader…

They learn when the economy hits them in the ass and they have nowhere to turn, so they pull out their guns and shoot their families and themselves.

  3. Of course we do. As a matter of fact, they’re possibly similar to the weapons we carried in defense of our country (remember, we don’t choose the war, we just chose to serve). As we serve, we protect your basic freedoms…for you, for me, for all. However, if we speak out, we’re called racists. When we serve, we’re called baby killers. When we return from service, we’re targeted as extremists. When we question things, we’re called narrow-minded, when we don’t question things, we’re the useful idiots. We’re concerned about the direction of our country, but in all honesty, many of us have been concerned for much longer than just the last 100 days as many seem to believe. If we choose to worship, we’re bible-thumpers and too ignorant to understand evolution. If we don’t worship, we’re a bunch of white supremists.
My immediate family has over 100 years of service protecting these rights. So, no, I don’t like Wanda Sykes, but I believe she should be able to say whatever she wishes. The only reason I wouldn’t say more is because I’m something of a gentleman (well…not really, I can’t even type that with a straight face….), but what I would say would not make it past censors. I can guarantee I would walk out on a performance such as this however.

  4. How typical of the left to mischaracterize things. Limbaugh has clearly stated he believes Obama is leading this country down the path to socialism. He has therefore then stated that he hope he fails (at his socialistic endeavors). How crass that a sitting president laugh at someone who is hoping his detractors die. Very inclusive bunch, huh?

What would have been the fallout if GW wished Michael Moore would get cancer?

  5. Very well said Revrick and Larry…Typical reaction from Wild Bill “I hope his kidneys fail too.”
Classy, Wild Bill…still so full of your unique brand of idiocy. May Wanda Sykes jump back down the sewer she climbed out of…

  6. Not envy, pride.

revrick, this is not about the army or the soldiers or the right to bear arms. It’s about right vs wrong. And the right is wrong.

  7. Reader, if you’ll look closely, the underlying tenet in my comments is not weapons, army or soldiers. It’s all about freedom of speech. That belongs to the left, center, and right. Feel free to speak your mind as will I. I’m not going to go into ODS or BDS because it’s like my kids used to say “He did this”, “Well, He did that”.

  8. How do people like Bill let their paralyzing fear of a radio personality warp them into someone so filled with hate as to wish death on someone because of a differing opinion? My mind can’t even comprehend that kind of sickness. What can Limbaugh possibly say that you’re so afraid of?

    Oh wait…that’s it…I think I know why you’re so scared…
