  1. Kate–if you want to know how it ends, go visit Erik in jail–because he is probably there on “contempt of court” charges, or something like that.

  2. I think this guy is an idiot. I fear for his family. When I noticed where he lives, I was saddened, I grew up in the Gallatin Valley and it has only been a few years since I left. Hopefuly not too many more folks like this.

  3. He’d better watch out for men with guns calling themselves the “government.” 🙁 You try to assert your rights in this day and age, they’ll get you.

  4. Yeah it works. In order to actually go to jail for not showing up to jury duty a jury has to sentence you. A buddy of mine did something similar and they never bothered him again. I always wonder how people actually let themselves get on that list. I have never once been called, and probably never will. I change my address after I vote, very simple. Go down to the post office and tell them you are going to move soon, have them route mail from your “new address” (pick one about one the same block), then re-register to vote they will send it to your new address which gets forwarded back to your old address. Register and mail it back in. Now months later when they try to contact you the notice gets “returned to sender”. When you actually have to vote later have them do it again.

  5. I just return it to sender as “Not at this address”. I don’t hear from them again in a decade, seems after they redo their lists from various sources.
