I think this guy is an idiot. I fear for his family. When I noticed where he lives, I was saddened, I grew up in the Gallatin Valley and it has only been a few years since I left. Hopefuly not too many more folks like this.
Yeah it works. In order to actually go to jail for not showing up to jury duty a jury has to sentence you. A buddy of mine did something similar and they never bothered him again. I always wonder how people actually let themselves get on that list. I have never once been called, and probably never will. I change my address after I vote, very simple. Go down to the post office and tell them you are going to move soon, have them route mail from your “new address” (pick one about one the same block), then re-register to vote they will send it to your new address which gets forwarded back to your old address. Register and mail it back in. Now months later when they try to contact you the notice gets “returned to sender”. When you actually have to vote later have them do it again.
“I fear for you if you cant outwit your own government”
This is funny in itself, but the fact that it is notarized makes it that much better!!!
I’m not sure. I think we should do a follow up and see if he really means it.
I think his designation has changed from “juror” to “defendant”…
What Mick said.
So, Eric, how’d that jury duty thing work out for you?
First question asked after he was released
I want to know how this ends.
That’s funny.
Kate–if you want to know how it ends, go visit Erik in jail–because he is probably there on “contempt of court” charges, or something like that.
Dangit, guess the link didn’t show up.

Mick – Thanks for the link…so nothing happened to him, plus he was excused?? WTF??
He’d better watch out for men with guns calling themselves the “government.” 🙁 You try to assert your rights in this day and age, they’ll get you.
Would I want this guy on my jury if I was accused of a crime?
Probably.
I may have to remember this. Did it work?
It worked, Bitsy. Check Mick’s link^. No charges & no jury duty. DAYUM.
I thought for sure he would be escorted to the corner of Seaman & Cummins….
Gee wizz! I will have to try that!

Thanks for the tip isiah – Im so tired of these bums calling for that shit almost every year…
That was funny this guy is awesome.
I just return it to sender as “Not at this address”. I don’t hear from them again in a decade, seems after they redo their lists from various sources.
