From the photographer, James Snyder: This is a Cuban tree frog on a tree in my backyard in southern Florida. How and why he ate this light is a mystery. It should be noted that at the time I was taking this photo, I thought this frog was dead having cooked himself from the inside. I’m happy to say I was wrong. After a few shots he adjusted his position. So after I was finished shooting him, I pulled the light out of his mouth and he was fine. Actually, I might be crazy but I don’t think he was very happy when I took his light away.
A light snack between meals never hurt anyone.
A tree frog always brightens up a dull party.
That’s so d@mn cute. I know, if it’s real.
As a matter of fact, a whole set of those on
the patio would really rock. You’re right as
usual KLAW. rockin’ ribbets…
Watts for dinner.
He’s enjoying an after dinner fila-mint.
Warm currants for dessert.
Dang just found the perfect recipe for this guy.
Lamp roast with currents and fila-mint.

Scott, hold the lamb, I dig frog legs.
Do they taste like chicken?
They taste and have textures like that of chicken, but a bit boney. Watch for some restaurants, if they keep their frogs live in a badly maintained aquarium, they will taste like aquarium. The photo really does look cute and happy to see that the frog got to live another day, to eat small bulbs.
Reminds me of an old TV commercial “Hey let’s let Mikey try it, he’ll eat anything!”
Aww geez the commercial was 40 years ago and I had it backwards…

I think that photo should win an wart.
Damn frog…can’t keep him off the juice.
Really though, he’s a romantic, his favorite song…You light up my life.
That is adorable – especially since it has a happy ending for the frog!
He ate some Easy-Bake batter then decided to go ahead and bake it afterall.
Bella yea they taste like chicken, they are pretty good
He had a craving for some beacon bits.
That’s some serious heartburn. He needs some extra strength Peptoad Bismol.
Nothing beats having frog lights on your amphibious vehicle when visibility is low.
He may be having a difficult time now, but when he poops tomorrow this lighthearted soul will see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I’m glad the little guy didn’t croak
Looks like he is taking the whole thing lightly.
When his mate told him to start eating lite, he took it literally.
Said the frog: I’m just revolting.
The photo really does look cute and happy to see that the frog got to live another day, to eat small bulbs.

Quite illuminating. I’m toadally impressed at how everyone jumped onto this topic. Ya’ll are so bright. Why do I seem to think he might start dancing and sing “Hello my baby, hello my sugar, hello my rag time gal….)

…Send me a kiss by WIRE, baby my HEART’S ON FIRE! If you re-FUSE me…
He’s so hoppy, he glows from within…incandesent even.
Frogs are cold blooded, he was probably enjoying the warmth of the bulb.
