I didn’t even realize that dot-matrix printers were obsolete. They use them at my school bookstore since they have to print three copies of the receipt at once. Weird.

dot-matrix printers rock! The guy is right about the Z80 it is still a very cool design. Came out about a year after intel’s and still being used. It also could be the most common IC ever made. The intel 8085 however has been dead for years. If you owned a cellhpone before 2003 it probably had a Z80 in it. However one day only pic and ARM will remain.
true, at work we still use dot-matrix for forms that have carbon-copies – but anyone still using floppies or zips is a T-Rex or a Dodo.
OK. OK. I admit that I still use Lotus 1-2-3 and WordPerfect. I’m old and set in my ways, so there…
