Killer fish terrifies Britain

SnakeheadA savage fish more terrifying than a piranha has been caught in Britain for the first time – sparking fears of a deadly invasion. The vicious giant snakehead eats everything it comes across and has even been reported to kill people.

The monster – from south-east Asia – has a mouth crammed with fearsome teeth, can ‘crawl’ on land and survive out of water for up to four days. It is feared the fish had been smuggled in for an aquarium and then illegally released.

  1. This is a very serious problem in the USA & it’s obviously becoming more & more widespread.

National Geographic has a great documentary on this threat & it’s scheduled to be shown next month:

It’s got teeth like a shark, a taste for blood, and even walks on land. It is an insatiable alien predator that can obliterate the food chain and overpower native life. Scientists are sounding the alarm. But can anything stop it?

  2. Please PLEASE stop being ignorant.
It is obviously a deepsea fish, those teeth are not made to cut, they are made to catch the prey and make sure it doesnt escape from the mouth, hence they are pointed inwards. I am so fed up with the ignorant individuals who have never read an encyclopedia or watched a documentary channel go around calling those poor animals “monsters”. You are the animals, try to become humans.

  3. This is NOT a deepsea fish. This is real and I say that after having watched a couple shows about them and reading some articles.

If, Bas, YOU were to read up and do any research on it or watch a show about it, you will see that it is a VERY significant problem in the US, and, AS THE U.S.A. DOES NOT HAVE ANY OCEANS IN THE MIDDLE OF IT, it can’t be classified as “deepsea”. They are not indigenous to the United States and have NO NATURAL PREDATORS HERE and they are eating “everybody else” (fish population) around them. I have no sympathy for these “poor animals”. They ARE monsters when viewed from the point of view of a country with its entire population of indigenous fish in crisis because some idiots released this menace into the wild. And, for the record, NO, THIS ISN’T AN APRIL FOOL’S JOKE.
