I’ve seen that happen. They’ll go in and resurface a road, put a couple of inches of asphalt down, then all of a sudden, they realize it wasn’t two inches but more like three or four in the wrong place, that being directly under the bridge.

Some idiot who is a couple of inches too tall thinks he can make it, just like he always has before and ……..

  2. 11’8″ seems awfully low…Aren’t trucks 13’6″? How do they get away with a bridge almost 2 feet too low? Aren’t there regs for bridges?

  3. PaulV’s comment was great! haha We had a truck-eating bridge like this in my hometown. Millions were spent, raising the bridge. All was well. Until someone decided the road beneath the bridge needed to be repaved…

  5. I’ll guess that this is in Boston (The background looks like Cambridge, MA) No trucks are allowed on many of the roads around parts of the Charles River; but when the students show up on – or – move away from campus, there are many rental trucks allowing the students to learn one more valuable lesson.

  6. It is really shameful that the warnings are not upgraded after so many accidents. The civil administration in charge of this bridge ought to be charged with negligence.
