  1. And yet, with centuries of these kinds of warnings, we elected a Democrat congress and a radical liberal President.

    And suddenly, everyone’s surprised.

    One
    Big-
    Ass
    Mistake
    America

  2. DJ,
Wow, you’re right. After all, the last 8 years were
    Blissful
    Uneventful
    Sane
    Happy
I mean really, don’t you think he deserves more than 46 days to undo the Bush Recession?

  3. Surprising that several presidents and democratically-elected leaders are among these.

Did they want a job where they were supposed to do nothing at all? Total anarchy (also known as libertarian government) would leave the country to the mercy of a band of warlords that would certainly rush in if “government” were abolished. Government is here to stay, gentlemen. But please, feel free to revolt. It would be like watching the U.S. military knock over some tinpot dictator, except instead of a bunch of foreigners it would be the neckbearded backwoods conspiracy theorists vs. the most technologically advanced military in America.

And all this over having extremely rich people pay a little bit more in taxes and having corporations pay Ronald Reagan’s tax rate. If only such righteous anger was displayed over sending our troops to Iraq for a false war. Well, at least we now know which people value money more than lives. Ugly stuff, but not unexpected.

  4. I can count on one hand the number of Obama stickers I see on cars now,its a little late now people hes in office,DJ those same people also think they can make Socialism work when its failed every where its been tried in the history of the world

  5. Jeff, I am sure there is a middle ground between fiscal frugality and spending almost 2 trillion dollars in three months (I am including the TARP, as it was passed by Congress) Disliking current fiscal policy is hardly a guarantee that someone supported the previous admin’s overall fiscal policy, which was far from fiscally conservative.

And someone please explain to me how a recession is the best time to implement universal health care coverage at taxpayer expense? Or how proposals to ramp up spending will lead to cutting the deficit in half? I tried that with my credit cards once, didn’t work out so good.

  6. hey paul in boca i would just like to say that this recession was technically started by jimmy carter and followed up by clinton and there was sorta this war thing that was taking a little attention away from bush. Rushing things threw congress so nobody knows what they are signing is sorta how we got into this mess in the first place. And if you look at it closely congress did this and not bush. Plus it was a Liberal congress so it has no correlation to bush in an way shape and or form.
