I am assuming there were both black. I guess the homeless person had several priors, dunno……GOTTA GO.
…KLAW sorry to say they are both not black…
Why did the poor homeless man recieve a harsher sentence? This is an outrage!
Um one guy is rich and could buy his way out? Stop trying to use race as an excuse for everything.
Come on guys – think! You can’t have an Establishment that hammers fraud – imagine what they might have to do to themselves…
Politicians (and their best mates from their schooldays) convicted of bolloxing the entire planetary economy – sentenced to infinity in hard labour.
I don’t fink so!
thats racist
One more homeless guy off the streets!
This is what’s wrong with the world… not just the USA.
The homeless man ROBBED a bank. Which means it was a more violent crime than simply stealing money.
That homeless man now has shelter, a bed to sleep in, and three square meals a day.
…mickles…the homeless man should have said “I stole the money’ instead of saying “I robbed a bank” …
Thanks for your help, it makes perfect sense now.
Exactly Jimbo. If I were out on the streets I’d rob a bank. If I got away with it I’d have money, if not, a nice warm jail cell, hot shower and food in my belly. Win-win really.
Anyone here that can make a big enough stink to make a diff?
Is this valid?
LEt’s face it. He was better off in jail. They did him a favor.
What is wrong with the US has infected most of you too.
Wow fake! Stealing $100 in the US is a misdemeanor, not a felony so he should get very little jail time (because I doubt he could pay the fine). If it was an armed robbery maybe, except he would’ve gotten more that $100 dollars out of that.
theres a difference between violent crimes and non-violent crimes.
violent crimes, no matter how much money you steal, always gets you a bad sentence.
as for non-violent times, they are more lenient on people because, and heres the kicker, its NON-VIOLENT
robbing a bank requires violence
fraud requires that you know the inner workings of a system and you exploit what you know, not violence.
Seems that somebody probably had a better lawyer.
