Ive never understood why cartoonists can get away with horribly disfigured heads and faced. I mean, here, we’ve got guys with mouths on their necks, noses on the very top of their head that are bigger than their torso, eyes in the middle of the nose…. lol and nobody cares.
XD And no, I don’t really care either, i’m just wondering why people dont care how poorly cartoon people are drawn.

Maoman…The thing that has always fascinated me is how cartoonist can draw something so distorted, so unrealistic, so bizarrely misshapen, but we INSTANTLY recognize it as a person.
Caricatures have fascinated me forever…SO exaggerated, but immediately recognizable. Look at old caricatures of Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Churchill, Sinatra, Bette Davis, Clark Gable. Totally out of whack, but dead-on at the same time.
DJ, you hit the nail on the head. I know 3 freelance artists (a.k.a. unemployed) and they are all cool. They draw what they see, I can’t draw,but appreciate what others do.
