An American gallon, I’m told is 3.78541178 litres (ish, roughly) so the equivalent in England currently costs $8.44 with most of that going to “our” Government.
Only say “eek already” when you mean it!

The IRS needs to send us vaseline too
I don’t know what you’re complaining about. Gasoline is over $10 a gallon here in the UK. I’d gladly pay the pics prices. It costs me £75 to fill up my teeny peugeot.
