I wonder how long a non-alcoholic person would take to drink a barrel of JD.
I bought 2 EMPTY “Knob Creek” barrels from Jim Beam a few years ago to use in the smoker. I hardly drink at all but I love distillery tours and hanging out in Vineyards to enjoy the views. I haven’t used all of those barrels yet but I did cold smoke several blocks of gouda and cheddar, salmon, pecans/walnuts and peanuts just a few weeks ago (had to wait for the temps to drop for cold smoking cheese; way too hot in the summer months)
I have a bottle of Knob Creek whiskey that I got sometime before Covid; I still haven’t opened it – probably never will… we ‘made’ that bottle during the tour – (in the filling room; we filled it; corked it; dipped it in wax to seal the lid and signed the bottles so they are keepsakes)
