Who has done this?
If no one, I dare someone to try this and report back. In fact, I double dog dare.
It’s doubtful that the popcorn would pop because it pops due to steam pressure and the more gradual warm up inside the turkey would allow the moisture inside the kernel to vent off.
But it is a gradual warming up for the popcorn in a popcorn popper, isn’t it?
Turkey should be cooked to around 165 degrees internal temperature.
That takes hours.
Popcorn will just laugh at 165 degrees.
165 degrees will not get the moisture in the popcorn hot enough to boil and thus pop.
