  1. Here in my part of the Midwest, we have been able to keep our windows open overnight to cool off the house, then close them only if it is getting too warm during the day–or if it is going to rain.

    Our A/C has not run in a couple of weeks or so, and it will probably be a couple weeks or more before the furnace is needed.
