On this day, many moons ago, a legend was born

That Legend is Me. Radio DJ, Rock Band Member, Chef, Scooterist, Motorcyclist, Law Enforcement, Low Vision Consultant, and now retired Webmaster of this site.

Now y’all try and guess my age. And if you want to buy me a drink tonight, send over some love!

  1. Mike, judging from the kid photos and prom night, I’m guessing prom was some where between 1980 and 1985. That would put you between 58 and 63.
    How’d I do?

  2. I’d say sixtyish…Same as me. I have been following this site since its inception . We share the same first name. Although I am not in a position to offer a monetary contribution, your efforts are appreciated .

    Happy Birthday!

  3. Mike, I was thinking similar to Beverly: the car in the prom photo looks to be a ’78 or ’79 but not new, so I am guessing your prom was in about ’83.

Assuming this is your senior prom, you were probably 17 at the time (like me, I think you turned 18 after you graduated high school).

This means you were born in ’66 and turned 59 today.

The hair loss is almost a red herring. I have a cousin who is about 5 or 6 years younger than me and he started losing his hair in his early 30s.

More importantly: happy birthday! May your coffin be made of 100 year-old oak trees that are planted tomorrow.

  4. 53

The car behind us in the Prom picture (1989 at a friend’s school, I took her to hers and skipped mine as she is hearing impaired and no one had asked her) is a 1986 Chevrolet Celebrity Station Wagon. Funny thing – the entire remote disc jockey setup fit in there.

No one noticed my Roller Derby Team? worst investment ever. It disbanded and the girls founded Southern Harm Derby Dolls instead.

And I appreciate all the drinks, You guys had me *urp* quite inebriated by nights’ end

  5. Sorry I guessed so high. The 80s were longer ago than it feels, and a decade has blurred into days.
You don’t have a world weary brow; it’s your current pate and the prom apparel that add up wrong.
    Yeah, that’s the ticket! 😄

    • we got tired of all the pictures being taken. Plus, as two of our five band members we had to keep that appearance of seriousness
