crisp, i like granny smith, jazz and gala apples equally as long as they are crisp. mushy apples suck; honeycrisp, braeburns and jonagolds are also awesome. “Red Delicious” is bland and boring.
I like them crisp, too, and sweet, so I go for the Honeycrisp (sometimes), Gala, and definitely Ambrosia.
I don’t think Fuji is the sweetest.

Sweet hard apples are for apple pie. Sweet/sour apples like Macintosh are for eating as they are. Even though they bruise easily, don’t store as well and get quite mushy when baked. I like them the best.
Nothing beats a Honeycrisp. But for baking I usually go for Granny Smith.
Jazz or Envy. Here in Canada we get them from New Zealand in the winter and they’re crunchy and quite sweet.
