1. To be fair, smoking was not considered a hazard during the Spanish Flu (about 1918 – 1923).

   In fact, it would be about another 30 years before serious research would happen to show the hazards of smoking.

2. if only there was an incredibly easy to take vaccine that could prevent this

   • The flu? Not until 1938 unfortunately
