Yeah.. Not American at all. Check out the Chinese writing on the lower right plus the Chinese people walking around.
I can’t verify the location, but it looks pretty similar to some of the escalators I saw while living in Tokyo.

I’m fairly sure I remember seeing escalators just like these in China Town, Sydney, Australia.
