Wahl them tigers get bored watching tourists all day. Nice that they get a little fun once in a while. Well, maybe not so nice for the chickens, but tigers are higher in the food chain, course.
It’s cruel to release live chickens for tigers to eat to amuse tourists. The chickens don’t stand a chance of course. I don’t think tigers are their natural hunters and I doubt the tigers get much nutritional value out of chicken.
Ana, is it more cruel to keep a tiger caged in an area one thousandth the size of their natural roaming area and feed them out of a bowl? Why not create an environment that will stimulate the big cats? If tigers outnumbered chickens a million to one, I would change my opinion. This has nothing to do with stimulating tourists, but keeping the big cats from going stir crazy.
I think you miss my point Andy. Read my second message, it was posted for clarity. I’ve seen footage of this, it takes the tiger about 5 seconds to get the chicken, and it’s not a tiger’s natural prey. Wild pigs would be much better.
I would love to see them fed wild pigs, but PETA and other groups won’t let them. I love watching Tiger Splash vids from the Out Of Africa park in Arizona, but what they are doing is not natural either. I have disdain for PETA, look up the website called PetaKillsAnimals.com

So THAT’S why the chicken crossed the road
…what I meant is if they’re gonna release live food, make it wild pigs or something.

I see we’re not over the Tiger chasing chicks jokes yet.
Scott, that’s a male chook.
