@mu – about the time he stopped taking his Aricept
All too true. We Americans are right there to help when anyone is in trouble. We solve problems, not create them.
That is the very thing that makes me most proud to be an American! To Whom Much Is Giving, Much Is Expected. We as a people do reach out and up. I know a lot of people will see this cartoon and feel disgust that we are used, mistreated and misunderstood by most of the world. I see it and I am filled to overflowing with PRIDE. We are used, mistreated and misunderstood and we help anyway. I love that about us.
Regina, you DO make problems, don’t pretend America is saintly, because NO ONE is perfect, including us. That’s a really good cartoon though. Wonder what the reaction would be if it were printed in Afghanistan/Iran/Iraq?
Btw, who is Pat Robertson?
@Ana, Pat Robertson is an Evangelical Christian nutjob, basically he’s a big asshole that likes to blame natural disasters on homosexuality and general sinful living. Pat Robertson said that Haiti got creamed by the earthquake (and has suffered in poverty all along) because they made a pact with the devil, he also blamed Katrina on NOLA’s sinfulness and 9/11 was because the US had turned their backs on Robertson insane vicious god.
You’re right Ana, I was wondering what kind of la-la land Regina is in? And, We are far from perfect too.
Thanks mu, that makes sense now.
When you watch Canadian tv, you see what We are doing for Haiti. Same as Australian tv, same as for Ireland, England, Portugal, and so on, and so on.
Sometimes what we don’t see, is what all the others are doing. You have to take off the blinders.
Nicely put Bella, help is being given from all over the world.
I have to admit I dislike these ‘cartoons’ when they set out to divide and cause hatred and intolerance, no matter who it is leveled at.
When did Pat Robertson grow a beard?
a true muslim
