  1. AWESOME! I’m glad Michael C. Hall won best actor television. Dexter is a crazy good show. Plus the poor guy is going through treatment right now for cancer (Hodgkin’s lymphoma)

  2. Meanwhile, in the real world, Kabul was blown to hell by AQ, Haiti still suffers, Guatemala experienced a 6.0 earthquake, ah, never mind.

  3. HOLY SCHNIKES!! Those globes ARE golden!! I hope she won something for those!!!!
And thank you thank you thank you Jonco for using this pic instead of Alec Baldwin’s!!

  4. Christina should have won for best supported actress.
Paul – All of that bad stuff going on in the world, but Christina has diverted my attention…I bet she could get health insurance reform and global warming initiatives passed quickly.

  5. Nellies. Rack. Norks. Paps. Baps. Knockers. Boobies. Booobs. Bahoomajangas. Maracas. Bosoms. Puppies. Melons. Lungs. Funbags. Lady Lumps. Top Bollocks.
    😀

  6. LOL Crispy! Can’t do it…I can’t stay awake that late! I have no idea who she is or what she does, but she’s my favorite! I wish I was still married so I could leave my wife for her.

Maffu – I love when you teach us English. I’m making notes to use those on the construction site. I hope you teach a seminar at the BABBQ.

  7. So, Paul you think its ok to turn a pop culture thread into a real world news one? Cause if so you really have no place in this conversation so you can back off right now. I may not support Jonco in every posts, but after all, it is his site so he can post what he wants, so how can you be against that?

  8. Paul – I think that air pollution is a terrible problem and that the earth is warming slightly, just as it has, off and on, for the history of the Earth. The Sun has determined what the weather is going to do, not some Chinaman working in a shoe shop in Nanking. So, yes, I am a GW naysayer, but I’m all in favor of an international effort to curb air pollution.

  9. Isiah,
    I bow to you!
    Richard,
Thanks. What I wonder about is not the Chinaman working in a shoe shop, but the millions of vehicles that are spewing fumes into the atmosphere at rates that have never happened in the history of our planet. What frustrates me is that it seems to be “conservatives” who yell loudest that GW isn’t happening. Silly me, I always thought that “conservatives” wanted to…you know…conserve our resources. If, as they would like us to believe, it’s not happening, is it really a bad thing to look for alternative energy, to try and reduce our dependence on unstable countries in other parts of the world for our main source of energy, or to develop our own resources?

  10. Paul – You keep copy-n-pasting the same question. You seem confused by the differences between global warming, man-made global warming, pollution, conservation, the sun, and the earth’s history. Your comment on Jan 13th to “It’s so hot in Australia” made no sense. You explained that the reason it was 111°F that week in Melbourne, the same temp as it was in 1902, was because of factories in China. Huh? Factories then or now?? 108 years and the same temp? Your point was??

You asked the same question on Sunday Open Mic on Jan 3rd. And you pointedly and deliberatly ignored my (and others) response to it. Why is that do you suppose?

You need to get up to speed:

How did we get from that magnificent creature with the bopbopbalooma balopbambooms to this? 🙁

  11. So DJ, you really think you can convince someone of something on the internet? Cause if so, you really have no place in this conversation so you can back off right now. I may have had my share of arguments in the past, but I have never been successful, so how can you be against learning from your mistakes? (h/t to Isiah!)
I’m not sure how to address what appears to be an obsession with my posts. I mean, sourcing stuff from 13 Jan and 3 Jan…do you bookmark those things? Have them memorized? I’ll offer you a dove on this one and say we can agree to disagree on this matter, and I won’t bring it up again.
@ Deborah: it looks more like the woman on the right is checking out her bum!

  12. So DJ, you really think you can convince someone of something on the internet?

I can convince someone, likely, that Christina Hendricks is hot. Now, if she does, or does not, cause global warming, it is merely a question of if you have a pulse.
