Just be sure to keep an eye on DJ and Paul. They’ll get into a political discussion and then all bets are off…
i want giant marshmellows at the BABBQ!!!! GIANT SMORES!!!!!
Richard, so true. 🙂
Richard & Gary – I think Paul and I demonstrated at our first South Florida LittleAssBBQ in September that we can maintain civility, respect, and proper decorum. At least until all the limos bearing the B&P girls start arriving. THEN all bets are off.
well dj, next time you need to invite the south florida b&p girls 😉
hbshrimp – I’m pretty confident that’s something PiB and I would cross the aisle to agree on!
Paul?
DJ and I (and his son AJ) spent a nice and calm 2 hours together at lunch overlooking the Atlantic. Not once did any subject remotely close to politics rear its head. And not once was there a lag in conversation, or that sometimes uncomfortable silence that happens when people get together for the first time.
Jonco: when is the BABBQ??????
I still chuckle when I remember that as we pulled out of the parking lot onto A1A, Paul went left and we went right.
Paul,
I won’t have a firm date until January 23rd. (I have to reserve a date at the place I plan to have it.) I’m going to try to shoot for Saturday July 3rd. That would give out of towners an extra travel day and there is plenty to do in St. Louis the weekend of the 4th for those who can stay a while. If I can’t get July 3rd I’m thinking either July 24th (my birthday) or we could wait until Labor Day weekend (Sept 4th) That would allow extra travel time for people too. I’ll do a separate post on it soon.
Shouldnt the marshmallows be sticking out of the fire ?
Is this how Crispy got their name?
Jonco–can’t wait for the BBQ.
anybody remember the chicken on fire
infi, please no! That was a horrible photo 🙁
sorry dear
This BABBQ will be in Missouri, where fireworks are allowed, right?
Unless the weather has changed in the last few years, we won’t need to fire up any grills for cooking as the air temperature in St. Louis in July will be hot enough to cook the ‘Q’.
They’re not legal in the area of the BBQ, but people still do it. We have had our fireworks confiscated before. I’m sure the cop took them home for his own collection.
Surely we can beat that at the B&P BABBQ.
