Wizards of Christmas lights

Whole block of houses synchronizes Christmas lights to music

During these economy time, the street of Bainbridge Cir, Murrieta Ca thought we would do something to put a smile on peoples faces. So the block decided to do something different this year for Christmas, we synchronized all 12 houses to music. It came out very impressive and it is a must see as the video does not do it justice. This was a team effort with the entire neighborhood getting involved. It started back in May with a simple discussion on what it would take. Next thing we know it was done. It has really brought the entire neighborhood together. You have to see it to believe it.

  1. There was a short street/cul-de-sac around here, with about a dozen houses, that did something similar (without the high tech and music) several years ago. It got bigger and brighter every year, and started attracting a lot of traffic. Backups extended out onto the main road, and there was a lot of illegal parking and barely visible pedestrians running across the dark streets.

Yeah, you guessed it. The city shut ’em down. Sent the cops in to make sure it stayed dark.

  2. AMAZING! Wow! Of course, I would be the curmudgeon across the street shouting “Turn off the lights! It’s 9 pm and I want to go to sleep!”

It reminds me of a neighborhood in Louisville. A VERY upscale neighborhood, that has an annual competition on Christmas lights. As in, several houses hire live Santas and elves. As in, many houses have UNIQUE IN THE WORLD colored lights, custom made for them in the far east. . . Amazing to drive through.

  3. I love seeing Christmas Lights and people really going all out. It is great to see community spirit; however, (and I am not religious) wouldn’t it be better if the music and effect reflect meaning of Christmas rather than rock concert or early Vegas? Perhaps there was other musical selections not shown.
