  1. “This turns into a nun’s bar, I’m outta here.”

Bonus points to the person who knows where that’s from.

  2. Congrats! That’s a nice start, Jonco.

My blog is mentioned on Oprah almost every day, and NBC News gets most of its stories from my posts. You probably saw the recent “24,” in which the J-Walk Blog was a major part of the plot line. Jack Bauer punched some buttons on his laptop, found my blog, read a few posts, and saved the world from a nuclear attack.

  3. S-U-P-E-R-S-T-A-R!! Congrats Jonco. It’s about time that you’ve got some media acknowledgement. Cool.
(Does this mean we have to quit with the potty mouth stuff?)(I hope not, coz I really like it).

  4. Our reputation? What about the TV station’s reputation? They’re screwed.

Will we have to start doing this live? Will we have to go on tour? Will I need to start wearing dress clothes to come to work? Will I need to start wearing clothes?

    I don’t know, I don’t like this.

    And where’s my paycheck?

  5. That’s Oprah Mahoney. She has a public access show in Bisbee, AZ, that comes on at 3:30 am., Channel 587. It’s one of those gospel preachin’ shows. It’s only been on once, but someone told that she said something about jay-walking. So I just assumed it was about my blog. I think it will be on again in July. Check your local listings if you’re in Bisbee.

  6. J-Walk,
I watch 24 all the time and I missed all of that. I OBVIOUSLY need to pay more attention. Plus since I steal borrow many of my posts from you I would think they might credit B&P with some of the content.

  7. You guys are absolutely GREAT!!!!!! You’re what makes B&P fun for me…. and the people who just look at the posts and not the comments ae missing SO MUCH. I thank you all from the bottom of my glass heart. OK, I confess…. I was out drinking tonight. Saw my friend Lunchbox (AKA Mike) but missed Fungus or Beerman by a few minutes. (His loss). Also met the nicest bartender Mary (from New York). You meet the nicest people on a Honda in Florida.

  8. That is actually Beaumont, TX…setxhomepage.com is the website…that is my normal tv station in the morning! Congrats JONCO!!!!!

  9. Sweet, I’m in Fort Worth so it’s cool to see B&P getting some love down here! That didn’t sound too clean though so I’ll stop while I’m ahead.

  10. Wow Congrats Jonco Now you really need to do a world tour of autograph signing (beer tasting) to celebrate. starting with Ireland. The first Guinness is on me:)

  11. I had a Guinness once… and it took me a long time to finish it, but I did finish it. I thought it was strange to see my lip print stuck in the foam head of the beer. It just stayed there. A little too thick and hearty for me.

  12. WOOHOO! Good job! I hope he does read the comments! He may have to make a public apology! HAHAHAHA! Love it! xo

  13. I worry about Scott if that is the post that sticks out in his mind. As one of the grossly underpaid actors in that bit, I hope my contract has stipulations for residuals when it hits the “Big Time”. Nice job Dad!

  14. Mike,
I’ve been wanting to ride my motorcycle to Texas. We’ve talked about it the last couple of years, but just haven’t made it yet. One of my riding buddies died recently so we’ll regroup and see about next spring. I’ve spent a little time in Austin (working) and quick visits to the Johnson Library and River Walk in San Antonio (just one evening) a few years back and been to Dallas a long time ago, but other than that not too much time in Texas. When is the best time to visit?
