The world’s smallest mother is about to give birth for the third time – despite warnings she is risking her life.
Stacey Herald, who is just 2ft 4in tall, was told that becoming pregnant could kill her, but bravely defied doctors to have two babies half her height.
The 35-year-old from Dry Ridge, Kentucky suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which causes brittle bones and underdeveloped lungs, and means she failed to grow.
Now Mrs Herald, who uses a wheelchair, and her husband Will, who is 5ft 9in, are eagerly awaiting the birth of their third baby, due in the next four weeks.
that is just too wierd
I heard an expression once
“Love finds away”
Guess it applies here.
Take a look at one of the picture floating around about this it’s disgusting.
Yikes.
And then Yikes again.
Isiah,
Should that be “a way”? (two words?)
Wouldn’t you hafta kinda be a pedophile to have sex with someone so small?
Congrats and all, but it’s still creepy.
Some of the comments here are insensitive and ignorant.
Well, Sheli, I guess a good old fashioned, WIHI? would fall right in there with them.
Jonco, if you were thinking of giving B&P a new slogan, I vote for what Sheli said.
Scott, I don’t know what she’s trying say but I really don’t give a damn.
Oh yeah? Well have a nice day!
jk… I don’t mean to be rude like that. Don’t ban me Jonco.
Ok, I’m gonna get myself into crap here. Sheli Hicks. This woman chooses to put her life at risk for a child, therefore denying her other children of a Mum, and her husband of a spouse. Who would be insensitive or ignorant? Just asking?
Scott, you’re out of line.
I agree with Bella. Being a single parent is hard, why would you knowingly risk your life when you already have two children who may wind up motherless, I wonder if she considered them when she undertook this pregnancy? It’s not like pregnancy can’t be pevented nowadays, especially if it would risk her life, I’d think she’d take steps to make that permanent.
Explain?
Well, if we’re all going to end up going to the woodshed, Scott, I agree…I think it would be a fantastic slogan/disclaimer.
Mike….HELL NO
Scott, could you please explain your view to me?
Scott

Jonco, if you were thinking of giving B&P a new slogan, I vote for what Sheli said.
Don’t all women put themselves at a bit of a risk when they get pregnant? It’s less dangerous now than what it used to be and we also don’t (usually) have 12 kids nowadays. So really, I don’t think it’s fair to judge her for having a third child. As long as someone is a good parent and looks after their kids then they deserve to have them. It is a little scary seeing that her stomach is half her size though. Good luck to them.
Ana, I’m not judging the Lady. It just says that THIS pregnancy could kill her. Her choice.
I’m lost. Some comments are insensitive and ignorant. I’m guilty of it too. I try to not make fun or attack people with physical disabilities or unusual physical appearances who are just living a normal life.
As for this post, let’s invite Stacey Herald and her kids to the babbq and personally tell her she’s a freak. If she can’t come let’s invite her to read these comments. In a few years let’s invite her kids to read how their mom’s a freak and made a mistake bringing them into the world. My personal view is that God gave her the ability to have these kids. The doctors know nothing compared to God. God’s giving her the ability to have another. If she and the baby don’t make it, let God take care of it. If her husband seeks God’s plan for their lives, the kids will be fine. I don’t normally offer those views but since you asked…
Scott.
Bail out, you’re going down. Get out of there man! You’re arguing with a woman. It’s pointless! You’re going to crash! Bail, Scott! Get out of there now!
good luck to this lady and her family!
no one is making fun of her disability. It says this pregnancy is a danger to her life. I would imagine it is, given her age and disabillity. She chose to put her life in danger, and become pregnant anyway, thereby possibly leaving her children motherless, and her husband as a single parent. It says she was told becoming pregnant could kill her, so she knew before she became pregnant. There are permanant birth control methods now ,which she could have opted for, so that she and her husband could still have an active sex life without fear of pregnancy. We don’t live in the Dark Ages here.
It says she bravely defied doctors, in my opinion she selfishly defied doctors.
LOL @ Mike F.
Scott, I just meant that I don’t want Jonco to use this as his new slogan.
Geez I never expected him to use it. Just pointing out what one might find here without being surprised later. I really don’t care what comments are made. Well I do but I don’t usually say anything when I think a comment is distasteful. I know some of the stuff I write could be offensive to some and I always hope no one complains. Unless it’s way out of line or personal attacks, people should say whatever they want without having to worry about following the crowd… the way liberals do.
WOW…i dont know how my boyfriend feels about this one. He’s pretty creeped out because that lady is 28 inches long and this man is about 6 ft tall. That is kinda messed up. Her kids are bigger than she is.
