Boy spends night in supermarket

Choc boyAn eight-year-old boy found with his face covered in chocolate ice-cream at a Melbourne Australia supermarket overnight has been reunited with his parents.

Staff at the Safeway Camberwell supermarket in Station Street discovered Daniel barefoot in the frozen food aisle about 3.50am (AEDT) on Monday.

Police said it appeared the boy had wandered from his nearby home in search of a late night snack.

He was taken to Camberwell police station, where he was cared for by staff on night shift.

The boy’s parents were contacted after police found his name written on a clothing tag and he was promptly collected.

What’s your vice or craving?

Thanks DJ

  1. Oh man…. this was always my dream! Being left in the supermarket with nobody around, being able to eat as much ice cream as I wanted…. lucky kid!!!!

  2. I am betting that the kid knew his name and address, but why not drag out the adventure as long as possible. Maybe a good whipping was in the offing, as well.

  3. At walmart they have this really intense procedure for dealing with lost kids. Made us memorize it. If you ever here “code Adam” Over the intercom they are planning to lock the place down.

  4. Vice or Craving? I’m sliding thru the dairy section and grabbing a pound of butter. Then I be squeeezing thru the produce and grabbing me a lemon. Then I’m heading to the SEAFOOD TANK. Right after I grabs me some Lobster and Crab, I’m heading to the staff kitchen to cook it up. That’s it. Oh ya, and a little fresh garlic. 🙂

  5. I can’t believe he’s not fat. Maybe his parents NEVER give him any chocolate? He’s really rude to raid the cop fridge though. They should have then made him wait in a jail cell to teach him a lesson.
