I’ve tried to get rid of fall leaves. I load them in the back of my pickup and drive to the county compost heap. When I get there I look in the back and they’re gone! What’s worse when I get back home they’re back in the yard again! I can’t figure it out.
It works down here in the south for pine needles. People don’t use mulch in flower beds because of the termites so they use pine needles. They actually charge for bundles of pine needles! I was amazed. People will rake and remove people’s pine needles so they don’t have to buy them.
I actually go around and collect bags of leaves for my compost pile every winter since I don’t have trees big enough in my yard to provide any. I certainly wouldn’t rake someones yard to get them though.

I traded Norway Maples for palm trees. Much less to pick up in the yard, but don’t park under coconut palms.
