The baseball call of the year

This is amazing!

Journeyman everything Mike Blowers spent 11 years in the Majors, but he should’ve spent that time in Vegas instead because the guy is scary good at predicting the outcome of baseball games—right down to the pitch counts.

Blowers now works in the Seattle Mariners broadcast booth and before Tuesday night’s game against the Blue Jays, his partner asked for his  “Pick to Click.”
Not only did Blowers choose infielder Matt Tuiasosopo as his Player of the Game, he predicted that the rookie would hit his first Major League home run In his second at bat…. of a fastball… on a 3-1 count.Into the second deck.

  1. too bad that 99% of his predictions turned out to be either wrong, or just pure scientific speculation. what, a right hand batter would hit a ball into the left field off of the starting pitcher the second time he was up?

omg! someone get this man a lottery ticket! he must be a genius?

or he’s seen a couple baseball games before and knows what’s normal.

  2. Jonco, Klaw,

The Cards have had an exceptional year. What the hay? It’s been THREE years.
GO REDBIRDS. Busch is a blast in May and June. No tellin’ what it’s like in October!!

  3. John,
It should be exciting. The Cards have been in a little slump this past week or so, but hopefully they’ll turn it around next week. Go Cardinals!

  4. Hey, Klaw, – LOL- I oughta tell you–my wife just asked if you meant how far before I go crazy. She don’t think it’s very far. I told her, of course, to have her hearing checked!

  5. Jonco, I saw in the stats that the Cards were 4-6 in the last ten. They’re probably lookin’ at kids up with expanded roster, dont ya think? That and restin’ up. I’ve always admired Tony LaRussa. No matter what or who his teams are always there. He’s a perfect match for the city and the awesome tradition there. That is, Klaw, if we can’t have Red!

  6. Of course! What would I know about THAT? Altho Zack has been a hoot. We saw the 15k game. No Gibby, but……….

  7. I’m gonna check into it, Klaw, but I don’t have really deep pockets. What kinda numbers do you hear up there to get 3 just in Busch. Or is it even possible? It’d be fun just to come up and have dinner down the street at Charlie Gitto’s during the game. I wonder if THAT’s even possible. Hope you guys there get in on all the electricity. It’s a one-of-a-kind time, I think. Hope the Cards get that home field advantage–very big in the short series.
