  1. That is the good news of the “cash for clunkers” program, but it missed my favorite Obama bumper sticker: it had the symbol for Obama and stated “Because everyone deserves what you worked so hard for”

  2. The O stickers have disappeared around here too in the past couple of months. I think they’re starting to recycle the “Not My President” ones from a couple of years ago.

  3. “I’m thankful to live in a red state, where we are 50th in education, number one in heart disease and obesity, and the divorce rate is 22% percent higher, and way more than half of the people think evolution is just a theory. I’m so proud!”

  4. Cash for clunkers’ only accomplishment is that it destroyed almsost 700,000 running cars. Many of those cars were in good shape. Because of that used car prices are up and auto repairs and car donation are down.

  5. I’m happy to say it was mostly white trash republicans that traded in their cars around here. really it’s only republicans that are white trash, the lowest of the low and the easiest to confuse politically. luckily my city is mostly blue, and well educated, unlike most white trash republican areas.

know a republican? send them to school and you may get a democrat. send them to school long enough and you’ll get an independent.

  6. we had the best school system in the world until the liberals destroyed it,now its “we need more money”,yea the liberal answer to everything, throw money at it

  7. Cars4charities,

I hear ya. But that’s not the only thing accomplished. Look from my point of view for a moment. Yeah, I’m a UAW retiree from GM. Grew up in a neighborhood that produced cars and steel in eastern Kansas City, Mo. It’s gone now. In Kansas City, KS., nearby there still is a vital source of income for maybe 30,000 area blue-collars, including suppliers for GM as well as services to workers. The Chevy Malibu and Buick LaCrosse built there are superb, even when compared to the best. Ordinary people like me ARE the UAW, not some amorphous gigantic greedy entity portrayed so well in media. We have always been about pushing and pulling ALL people up.

Hopefully, in time, the cars donated will be of higher quality.

  8. And tiki god,

Lot of us educated, white trash out here, blue in politics and collar, that traded in. I’m a lifelong Democrat, but I’ve seen “it all” enough to practice some tolerance. We really, really need a middle. We have more in common than we realize or admit. Hell, we all do THIS. Good work, BTW, Jonco!

  9. Required,

Your comment got me to laffin’ AND thinkin’. EEEEEHAAAH!!

Seems like EVERY president we ever have is actually junked out by the time he’s done. What happened to us or those few men (sorry ladies, so far) that we spew instead of support–Whoever or whatever. I make a motion we call all days other than legal holidays 9/12/2001 and look out for and respect each other.

Now, quick, somebody pick some flowers.
