The same thing happened to my step-daughter a few years ago at a private tiger sanctuary. The owner told us in advance to be quick to move out of the way if one of his tigers turned its tail toward you like that. She wasn’t paying attention to the warning and got it in the face from a white tiger too. When we got home our cat seemed really impressed with the way she smelled.
