  1. Pizza delivery guys (how many women knock on your door late at night to deliver your salvation?) have a rough job. Do you tip them like you would tip in a restaurant, 15-20% of the check? They work hard for their money, they don’t get a gas allowance, please consider that next time you phone your favorite pizza joint.
I had this exact delivery about 6 years ago from Pappa Johns. Paid the dude, sat down at the table, opened the box, and everything was squished on one side of the pie. I was so irate I drove it back to the local store and demanded my money back.
Said I would never order from them again. Have stayed true to my vow.

  2. This is why we should open the pizza box before paying the delivery guy. At least the guy will have extra minerals and nutrients in his pizza.

  3. Um, this happens in restaurants too. I’ve seen it happen. I’m sure every one of us has eaten something that was mishandled and never knew it. At least when its a pizza, you can probably tell. Not necessarily with something like a steak though.

  4. Moral of the story? ALWAYS open the box and check before you give him your money. If you’re semi nice, just don’t give him a tip. If you get really annoyed, throw it back at him and tell him to pay for it. ^_^
