Clown carArkansas couple pregnant with 19th

After 18 children, Michelle Duggar thought she knew what it feels like to be pregnant. But even she was caught by surprise to learn that just eight months after she gave birth to Jordyn-Grace, Duggar baby No. 19 is on the way.

“We are thrilled to announce that we found out we’re expecting our 19th child,” a glowing Michelle Duggar told TODAY’s Meredith Vieira Tuesday from the family’s home in Springdale, Ark.

Michelle and family patriarch Jim Bob Duggar sat on the staircase of their home, surrounded by their 18 other children. Behind them and in the center were eldest son Josh and his wife, Anna, who is expecting the first Duggar grandchild — a girl — on Oct. 18.

  1. Any molecular biologists out there? I’d like to know if you can research the gene responsible for mankind’s need to make fun of people; you know, the gene that urges people to poke their noses into other folks’ business?

While you’re at it, search for the one that causes people to throw a screaming walleyed fit when *their* privacy is invaded. It would be interesting to note similarities in the genetic makeup.

  2. In high school I knew two brothers there parents had 22 children together. I asked them once what there father did for a living they told me that he ran a software company.

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the Earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living thing”

  3. Hmm. I’m wondering if all of those people who criticize this family (“dipshits”, “overpopulation”, [sic]”discusting”) reserve the same kind of criticism for welfare moms with 7 illegitimate kids from 5 different fathers, or families of 15 in the Third World.

  4. I don’t get how he manages to ejaculate? It’s gotta be like a hotdog in a hallway…and I think they’re too religious to even think of touching a penis to jack him off and aim it in there….*shudder*

  5. How wonderful to see a husband and wife express their love for each other by welcoming children into their lives. We should all be so lucky to be part of a loving family.

  6. yeah, It’s a vagina not a clown car! was the first thing to come to mind. But hey, they are loved by their two biological parents that are still together. There is no way I can make fun of them. Good luck to them, and I hope they they all live good, happy lives.

  7. How can any of their kids feel special when there’s so many of them? Also not fair on the eldest kids as they’ve spent their entire lives changing nappies year after year.

  8. They can afford more because television made them rich. And it made them rich because a lot of you watch their show!

  9. As long as they can take care of the kids and not have to beg and depend on welfare…. and if she can stand having to give birth for as long as she lives… well, just make sure all the kids grow up right.

  10. But damn, this is adding to the overpopulation. And how the hell do you squeeze out 19 kids?! Stick a rubber at the end of that thing, mister!!!

  11. I don’t think their privacy has been violated at all. Wasn’t it the parents who chose to go on TV and accept a free house? Wasn’t it the parents who chose to do a show on TLC, exploiting their children? You cant complain when people voice an opinion when it was you who made your lifestyle public.

Maybe the mom is a bumpaholic.

As for welfare mothers and large families in Third World countries, you have to take education into consideration. Also, is contraception available or even allowed? When a women can get stoned to death in a public square by her family and loved ones for being a victim of rape, I’m not thinking educating couples about birth control is a priority.

I don’t wish the Duggars any ill will but I do wish for their kids sake, they would find a new hobby.

  12. in response to isiah: ‘We criticize a family for going on welfare but ignore banks and auto companies that do the samething’

Well, I criticize the banks, auto companies and people who ABUSE the welfare system. But they all ignore me! As for Michelle Duggar. . .I bet she can’t breath without peeing a little!!

  13. @spack

I used to be a libertarian as well. Until I realized that I would spend my whole life criticizing just about everyone.

YES. There is no need for this. Really. The Libertarian in me wants to say, “As long as they are not using public money to raise the kids, it’s their right to breed as much as they want.”

But the childfree atheist in me is sickened by the excess, and by the fact it seems to now just be about setting a freakin’ record. It seriously cannot be about loving kids anymore. The worst part of it is that all those children are being indoctrinated into the same warped religious crap their parents believe. We need less religion in the world, not more. And as someone else said, those 19 kids are going to breed litters of their own, and indoctrinate them.

Educated people are having fewer children, and uneducated religious backwaters are having more. It’s pretty sick.

Yeah, I know. It’s not fair to make fun of them. Religious belief, and activities stemming from it, always get a “pass.” I have no idea why.
