I have to pick one place?! I really want to go back to New Zealand but someplace I’ve never been…either South Africa or the Rainforest before it’s gone. Japan sounds good thou MCW–yummy sushi!!!
Italy, Seems like a pleasant place to visit. Taste the food, try the wines, walk through the towns. I’ve watched a lot of Rick Steves’ traveling shows.
I have 2 places I’ve always wanted to go. Egypt and Australia. I would pick Egypt in this situation. I’ve always been fascinated with the pure history there, the incredible clues to the past, and I want to go there first as well because of the instability of that area becoming more and more volatile.
Agree 100% with MCW. Japan is my number one country I want to visit.
It’s a shame that the middle east is in such a clusterfuck these days because I would also have loved to have seen Afghanistan, Iraq, et al before war knocked lumps out of them and it became open season on westerners. Beautiful countries with very rich histories.
I suppose second place would be Iceland. The country, not the shop.
Caitlyn,
Join the Duuude and me slightly to the northeast, we will eventually get to Egypt from our starting point. Australia? Meh, if you’re going to go that far, you might as well go to New Zealand and experience the wonders of the friendliest people and most amazing scenery on the planet.
My desired destination would have to be Cuba or Venezuela for two reasons. I really like their laid back attitude and it would really piss my government off because they do everything they can to discourage travel there.
No way that I could name just one place. I would have to pick from Antartica, New Zealand, or the Yangtze River Gorge (before they damned it). I was fortunate enough to see a lot boatload of countries when I was in the Army, but never got any closer than Australia to NZ.
Egypt. explore the Nile. have a professional tour guide for the whole thing.
I’ve been around the world and it’s the only place I haven’t got to yet that I really want.
I like the I’s and the A’s….Israel, Ireland & Australia, Argentina. So if I had to pick one it would be, hmmmmmmm…Israustinaland. These four just intrigue me more than most places.
All expenses paid, I’d go to Antarctica! Rediculously cold and totally alone! I’d LOVE it! A visit of no less than three months, watch the penguins and orca, see Elephant Island, the Wedel Sea, wow…that would be wonderful!
Note this says TO a certain location. Doesn’t mention return trip.. 🙂 It’s a trick! I’d love to visit Singapore again, and will be next year, but I would love it if it was paid for 🙂
Japan. No question. It would just be such a strange and exciting place to visit.

Home! I travel all the time for work (gone almost every week), and there’s no destination that I look more forward to than home.

The Cradle of Civilization, where the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers are at their closest. Where it all began, so to say.
I’ve always wanted to visit Ireland ever since I saw the movie Ryan’s Daughter.

The Grand Tour of Europe. I’ve been to London and Paris but I’d like to do the 3-month, do-everything tour.

Peru for me … fascinating history and people I’d really like to know more about. Besides, it’s the only continent I haven’t yet visited.
Galapagos Islands. No explanation necessary.

or England to visit my sister that lives there
I would go to Infidel’s house. I hear it’s the best place to meet chicks!
India. That’s where my younger daughter was born, and I’ve never been there. I would love to take her and the rest of the family.
Seychelles because of its landscapes, beaches … and way of life.
Australia/NZ/Fiji
You did say all expense paid, right? I’d go to Dubai to see the next America’s Cup race.
Germany. Beer. Enough said.
Victor, ID! It’s the most beautiful place on earth and my granddaughter lives there! What could be better!
Easter Island. I dream of seeing the Moai.
@infidel you should definitely try to go one day. I was there for two weeks. Will never forget it.
Not sure where I would go, maybe Hong Kong.
I like the I’s and the A’s….Israel, Ireland & Australia, Argentina. So if I had to pick one it would be, hmmmmmmm…Israustinaland. These four just intrigue me more than most places.
Bora Bora!!!! One of those huts over the water.
Six months in Atarticia at the Australian base would be cool
that should be Antarticia..oops!!
Phil – I’ll have the beer ready.

The most remote Latvian village I can find.
Jonco – I would bet that you did not expect three of us to pick Antartica!
No I didn’t Richard…but I knew I’d be surprised by the choices.
Macchu Picchu. I’ve always been fascinated by the image of the lost city in the mountains of Peru.
I’m surprised no one has chosen Bali. Paradise on earth. That’s where I’d go.
Barcelona, Spain – fell in love with the city – want to go back.
I would like to cruise the Greek Islands.
Note this says TO a certain location. Doesn’t mention return trip.. 🙂 It’s a trick! I’d love to visit Singapore again, and will be next year, but I would love it if it was paid for 🙂
I would go to space.
