In commemoration of his 31st year on this planet, Hans Steiniger has noted the parallelism between his age and the number of Football Stadiums located around our great nation. Why only 31 NFL football stadiums? Because the New York Giants and New York Jets both play in the Meadowlands in New Jersey, so although there are 32 teams, they only play in 31 NFL home venues.
The Quest for 31 began as he moved to Detroit from his hometown of Buffalo, NY. Hans began attending home games in other stadiums and discovered that the home team experience is different in every stadium and in each NFL city, so he decided to begin a city by city personal research project on the home team experience across the nation. Hans immerses himself into local NFL culture by purchasing a home team NFL jersey to lend credence to his support of the local NFL product. He tailgates in the parking lot with local fans before the game and stays to watch a great NFL football game live at each NFL Stadium. Hans is searching for a well-rounded typical gameday experience in each NFL city.
Here is Hans’ special Quest Cam report. These folks sure look like they’re having a great time.

Buffalo? Cool, local boy makes good I guess.
A couple years ago we took a summer off and did a west coat coast baseball swing thing. Started in San Francisco with the Giants. Drove down to L.A.. and caught a Dodgers game. Continued further south and watched an extra inning Padres game. The Arizona Diamondbacks was a blow out loss. Then back to L.A. (via Las Vegas) for the Angles. Flew to Seattle to see the Mariners win one. Another plane ride to Denver for the Rockies and then drove back to the Bay Area to finish up with Oakland A’s. One of the best summers ever.
yay for Buffalo peeps! when i was a kid, my parents had season tix to Rich Stadium to watch the Bills play. it was loads of fun but friggin’ cold.
traveling for football games isn’t that exciting. the people and environment might be slightly different but almost every stadium is the same exact layout. i’m only 26 years old and spent the last two years traveling the country for baseball games. i was able to see a game at all 30 stadiums (32 if you include the old NY stadiums last year and new ones this year) in only 13 months and 6 of those months were the off-season. that was a more interesting goal to me because every ball park is unique in it’s own way. i am from Philly and a die hard Phillies fan but i will still say that Milwaukee had the best overall experience when it comes to dedicated fans, tailgating and quality of the stadium.
