Yes, it is an odd title but it’s still a very good book. It’s not “How to Read a Book” in the sense of reading a book to become literate but rather how to get the most from books like what sort of things you should be thinking to yourself when you read something or how to notice how something is being shown, etc.
When VCRs first came out they bought one for the school where I was teaching. I had one at home so they asked me to hook it up. I did and asked if they had a video I could try to see if I did it right. One had come with it, showing how to hook up the VCR. I found that to be hilarous – but even funnier was that the person on the tape doing the instructions was my cousin who made instructional videos when his acting career did not materialize!
as a blonde I can say its a good book for us blondes
This is sort of like someone pointing out the Self-Help section to you.
