We’re off to Florida for a few days. It looks like Ana has fizzled out and is just now a rain storm about to hit Florida.
Hurricane Bill, however, is building strength. It has sustained winds of 135 mph which makes it a category 3 hurricane. Further strengthening is expected and the system could become a major hurricane (category 4 or higher) soon. Right now it is expected to turn right and head up the eastern coast of the U.S.
So other than some rain our trip to Florida should be non-eventful. I should be able to post while there.
Travel safe Jonco! Sorry I missed you this morning. Give Aunt Iva our love. xxoo
Hope you stay safe! For those of us in eastern Massachusetts, however, Sunday looks to be…interesting.
Let’s hope it stays on the projected path. The last thing we need are more hurricanes.
ditto nifty
The goal is to return to St. Louie with both shoes.
So far – so good. Still have both shoes. Actually I brought an extra pair, just in case.
Say “hi” to revrick for us!
I’m getting hurricane bill up where i live, in Nova Scotia, Canada. Hopefully it won’t be too bad!
Hmmmm… might be a challenge…FL is bigger than Nashville…
Have fun, stay dry, and watch for falling debris
Hurricanes can be an exciting experience, but I still hope you don’t have to mess with it all!
Aren’t you in Tampa? That’s a very safe part of Florida if the hurricane is coming from the East.
Yes, I’m on the west coast of Florida. My aunt’s neighborhood took a direct hit from Charlie which came from the gulf side, but a category 4 hurricane can be something to see even days after it hits landfall. We had quite the storm in St. Louis last year after Hurricane Ike. And that was a loooong way from where it first touched land.
Here in the Miami area we stopped worrying about Bill days ago. Don’t give it a thought over there in Tampa.
Ok…west coast…check…neighborhood took a direct hit..check…can’t follow the shoe trail…check…I’m working on it, DJ.
LOL @ Revy. Keep your eyes peeled Jonco!
Wait a minute, who is watching the dog?
My daughter is watching the dog…and apparently he’s not behaving too well for her. She says we’re even for me watching her dying dog a couple weeks ago.
