That makes sense, while visiting friends in St.Clair the hot water always comes out of the cold water side. On the other side of town (north of the towers) it works normally.dunno
One of my favorite scenes. You have a pretty good camera as those sit back a ways from I44. I used to travel from WV to OK to visit family twice per year and had one of the kids halfway convinced that they were really hot and cold. well done.
You know, I always wondered how much energy we would save if we actually had a dedicated hot/warm water line to our homes. Use industrial waste heat or a solar collector to heat the hot side, and then we don’t have to heat it as much at our own house.

My town has the same thing: hot ‘n cold water tanks … ours aren’t mounted so high, though.

Years ago the town of Bourbon MO had two water towers labeled “Bourbon” and “Water”.
Is rural Bourbon called Suburban Bourbon?
I guess it would be suburban Bourbon. But tat’s only a couple blocks away from downtown Bourbon.
