  1. Though it’s well documented as a photoshop mashup, the funny part is that it’s Al’s Head attached to Sen David “Daiper Boy” Vitter’s (R-LA) body. The R’s make it too easy.

  2. Photoshopped or not: the man is an embarrassment! He was a horrible comedian and he will make an even worse senator.

  3. With it’s record of who has gotten elected in Minnesota, maybe we can trade it to Canada for two polar bears and some muktuk.

  4. he has failed at everything he has tried to do. he killed air America and couldn’t make it as a comedian. why o why would any one vote for him. is that the best the democrats could field in Minnesota.

  5. You know what is so satisfyingly hilarious about this photo and Al Franken winning the election? He beat the Republican incumbent. Think about that for a minute. This guy all the fundies hate and are making fun of BEAT their INCUMBENT. What does that say about the Rep party? I’ll let you fill in the blanks. 🙂

  6. Couldn’t make it as a comedian? 15 years with Saturday Night Live, three Emmys, 5 bestselling books, and the reason he left his radio show after three years was to run for office.

I’m surprised to hear this is a Photoshop. There must be way more silly pictures of Franken, considering all the weird TV skits they have to select from.

  7. Well, I can’t say I really like him politically, but based on seeing him in various skits and shows, it would be very hard to blackmail him with something compromising…unless it were a photo of him and Rush and W throwing back drinks in a church.

  8. He didn’t ‘beat’ the Republican incumbent – – he STOLD the election just like most of the libs in office!

  9. //Houisi: How does one “Stold” an election?//

I don’t know, but apparently there is some Republican lawyer who is suing because she says Obama is not legally able to be president. I tried to read the whole story, but I got bogged down in the jargon. I have no idea what her grounds are.

I just think it’s funny, because Republicans are still angry that Dems had the GALL to assert that Bush’s re-election was a “steal.” They were always whining that “he was elected fair and square,” and making huge fun of those “sore loser” Dems.

Hmmm…Obama was elected by a large majority–much larger than Bush’s–and now the shoe is on the other foot.

I happened to catch a portion of the O’Reilly show the other day (I was stuck), and I saw them ranting and raving about his visit with the Pope, and how hypocritical that was, because he is the “anti-life” president.

Anti-life. I mean, you can’t make this crap up. Hardcore liberals, and most Republicans, are just smokin’ crack!

  10. Actually Troglodyke, there has been a Democrat lawyer who has been suing since the primaries. He is a Hillary Clinton supporter and has been all over this. Quit being ignorant and acting like this is a vote for student council President. This is real life and affects real people.

When did 52% become a “large majority”? Where I went to school, that was just a simple majority. Reagan won his second term by a large majority. No President since has seen such support, not even Clinton.
