MLB All Star Game in St. Louis

The All Star game gets underway two weeks from tonight, July 14th, here in St. Louis MO.  FOX has been running a pretty cool commercial.  I’ve been looking for it and I just found it.  I saw somewhere that tickets to the game are only $360.  Last year in New York they were over $700.  Too rich for my blood.

  1. so jeter is the runner on first base. but then they cut back to a yankee’s pitcher. huh?

    still, pretty cool.

  2. Our Fox affiliate in Hawaii airs it often (probably because baseball is an afterthought out here). That said, I think it’s a neat ad and stop to watch.

Also, when my two-year-old sees it, she keeps asking for “fen fies” (french fries… she thinks it’s McDonald’s). I can’t wait until we take her to the real Arch this fall… she’ll probably try to place an order at the ticket booth.

  3. Jonco,
Have a case on me….and Thanks for the great clip as well as all the great clips that add laughs to all my days.

So sorry about your niece; our thoughts are with her family.

If you RECEIVE MORE ROUNDS in the near future, it would bother-me-not if you bundled ’em into a ticket to your hometown park. It may not happen again soon.

    Either way, ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

  4. As one who is looking forward to the All-Star game this year (hopefully not seeing Manny) we can look forward to a competetive game played in a beautiful new park. However, for a game “for the fans” the ticket prices sure are a reach in this economy. Sure the tickets are typically bought up by corporations and the rich alike but this game is suppose to be for the true fan of MLB, if that fan still exists today. I’ve seen Diamond Box seats listed at $15,000 each!! Are you freaking kidding us?? The price wouldn’t be this high if they didn’t feel the seats would be purchased. I think MLB and St. Louis should be ashamed to make this astronomical of a mark up on a seat to watch All-Stars.

  5. You missed the point guy-wanting-to-promote-his-sports-odds-board. Last year the tickets were double what they are this year. More than $7,000 in New York. Supply and demand. Of course it’s out of reach for the average sports fan or family. But I’ll still watch the game.
