45 years. 540,000 miles. Never made a left turn.
The only accident that she was ever in was when a 24 yr old T-boned her. j/k
THANK YOU JONCO!!! Now here’s a good story for a change!!! It’s time to put all the train wreck’s behind us now (ya’ll know who I mean) and get on with the good, fun things out there!!! I do believe if I were a car, at 59 years, my odometer would have been broken years ago…
This woman is awesome. I want to be her when I grow up. Gun and all…She is an honorary member of The Glamorous Life Association. Hell, I am gonna make her president!
I wonder if she has ever turned off her turn signals?
But the left turn blinker was probably on for 539,000 of those miles. 🙂
That is so cool. I hope she and the car keeps on trucking.
Reminds me of the guy who has a Volvo from the 70’s that has a couple of million miles on it.
Now there’s a woman who loves her car — more than her three husbands! I wonder who gets it in her will … probably some ungrateful snot who’ll wreck it in weeks.
More power to her, and another 500,000 miles to go.
What she is doing is cute, but i would never do it. a Few reasons
1. Fuel efficiency is always going up, older cars will cost more in the long run
2. No new features
3. Honestly I would get bored with a car if I had it for that long
4. Finally, my wife would crash it multiple times if I had it for even 10 years.
but hell, each there their own.
4. isiah, is your wife under 50?
Kids.
😛
new cars don’t last that long or handle that many miles..\
they don’t make them like they used to!
My wife will probably live that long, but she will wear me out before the car!
No not over 50, she just is a terrible driver.
The 1964 Mercury Comet is a great car. My first car was identical to this great lady’s except in Pacific blue. With a 289 4V, 3 speed auto, PS and PB and A/C these cars are powerful, spacious and fuel efficient because they were light. Mine is still in the garage although I have not driven in ten years. One day I will again.
What a great lady, I hope she has hers til the day she dies!!!

They (the car and the woman) just aren’t made that way any more. I have had a couple cars with over 400k, but none have made the half million mark. I personally think she should be buried in that car.
