A dedicated Teamsters union worker was attending a convention in Las Vegas and decided to check out the local brothels. When he got to the first one, he asked the Madam, ‘Is this a union house?’
‘No,’ she replied, ‘I’m sorry it isn’t.’
‘Well, if I pay you $100, what cut do the girls get?’
‘The house gets $80 and the girls get $20,’ she answered.
Offended at such unfair dealings, the union man stomped off down the street in search of a more equitable, hopefully unionized shop. His search continued until finally he reached a brothel where the Madam responded, ‘Why yes sir, this is a union house. ‘We observe all union rules.’
The man asked, ‘And if I pay you $100, what cut do the girls get?’
‘The girls get $80 and the house gets $20.’ ‘That’s more like it!’ the union man said.
He handed the Madam $100, looked around the room, and pointed to a stunningly attractive green-eyed blonde.
‘I’d like her,’ he said.
‘I’m sure you would, sir,’ said the Madam. Then she gestured to a 92-year old woman in the corner, ‘but Ethel here has 67 years seniority and according to union rules, she’s next.’
NOW YOU Know what’s wrong with the AUTO industry.
And why they want a BAILOUT.
Thanks Gene
WoW! One, if that woman still has the drive at 92, more power to her. Second, she must not have a very big SSI check coming in.
Yes, it has nothing to do with the shitty products the companies put out and nothing to do with the economy in general. Even your non-unionized automakers are hurting. If there were no unions, the automakers that are in trouble would be no better off right now.
Case in point, last year the Toyota Camry alone outsold ALL Chrysler cars sold in the US. Think about it. A single model from Toyota outsells all passenger cars Chrysler makes (including Dodge models).
So yeah, it’s the unions fault and not the product line-up. Completely.
lmao thats too funny, yea GM is fuc*ked anything the damn Government gets its hands on they fu*k it up
An article the other day, written by a union rep complained that the problem was caused by GM cutting corners on quality in order to keep the price down.
Seems like the more logical thing is to cut labor expenses…He didn’t seem to get it.
My dad told this joke at my brother’s graduation party on saturday, shortly before becoming completely plastered. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.
[…] Wither GM […]
Heh.
