One of my favorite places in the St. Louis area. It’s in Alton Illinois about 20 minutes from the arch. I’ve been there many, many times. You can meet all kinds of people there…. from motorcyclists to businessmen to seniors and everyone gets along well. They have expanded now and have a new outdoor patio area with plenty of flat screen TV’s, the coldest beer in town and cheap, yet good food. If you’re ever in this part of the country it’s a must see place.
Fast Eddie’s was visited by the Food Network crew.
Note: I was not paid in any way for this endorsement.
Cool place, 30 cent jumbo shrimp, 99cent 1/2 pound burgers, Big Elroy on a stick and ice cold beer.
KLAW, isn’t it a Big Elwood? And 29 cent shrimp….. but who’s counting?
YES AND YES.
Great place. The burgers and dogs are superb.
but still the ice cold beer, right?
Yes, Bella the beer is good and cold. We can agree on that. LOL
So what is a Big Elwood???
Richard, this ia a family site, no one under 21 is allowed into Fast Eddies if ya know what I mean. Women dig em.
Oh, THAT Elwood.
It is meat on a stick.aka ka-bob bob bob bob bob.
and ice cold beer. mmmmm
They have great taco’s and fish as well.
Is KLAW correct, Jonco?
No, he’s pulling your leg again. No taco or fish. But the Big Elwood is a beef kabob.
well if I ever get out that way,I will check it out
It is a phenomenon! We have guests from across the country and across the world and it seems that everyone knows about the cheap food and cold beer that has made Fast Eddie’s Bonair famous.
