Actually in parts of Afghanistan (and parts ofIraq) the people apparently have light coloured hair and eyes – nothing to do with the Russians.
Remember the very famous photo of the Afghan girl Sharbat Gula?
Afghanistan is not a homogenous country by any means. There are Pashtu, Urdu, Nuri, Turkmen and others, each which have their own origin. The Russians weren’t the first “white” group to enter Afghan territory. I am pretty sure Alexander traveled through part of Afghanistan.
Strange that he is afghani and has green eyes. Must be from the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. They did try to breed them out.

Boy, he’s a real whitenoser…
Imagine what his lungs look like… yuk!
I’m sorry, but the title for this post was an abysmal attempt at being witty.
Mike, most of my titles are my abysmal attempts at being witty. But every now and then one works.
So terribly sad.
Mike, supposing you were witty, what would your attempt at naming this post say?
Mike – Got Midol?
Sorry Jonco, but most of your titles are actually decent. This one however, missed the mark.
I still stand by it. I thought it was a tad clever. Coal miner’s daughter…. Coal miner’s daughter’s dad! I still like it!
I like it too! Clever! Maybe Mike never heard the song title.
I dig it as well, stand up for what you believe in. Hmmmm, sounds familiar.
Stand by your man.
Jonco da man!
A busy monday night, where are all of the dames?
Here! And I liked the tittle! I thought it was clever! It did make me think about Sissy Spacek for a while though!
A little tittle is better than no tittle. I think, wtf is tittle? dunno
