  1. You know, 2 yrs ago I thought as a single mom that my son and I were
gonna be OK and the economy was picking up, I made a decent wage, and
life was gonna be better. I’m scared now.

  2. Hang in there Bella. When I was a single mum it was very hard financially. You just make it work any way you can. It will get better again. x

    How old is your son?

  3. Thanks, Bitsy but ya know that the smart asses (AKA bean counters) of the
world have now become the dumb asses of the world and we are gonna have to
pay for it. What the hell is happening, billions is beyond my comprehension.
I’m not understanding a lot of this fuc’ng bailout sh!t but I know that they
are living in a mansion and I’m worried about mortgage, bread and milk.
And Bitsy, we’ll be Ok coz I’ve always managed to put food on the table and
cover the bills, and once in a while, buy a 6 pack. 🙂 My son is special and
may never be on his own.

  4. I don’t get the Bailout thing either. I also agree about them all living it up in their big houses and hundred dollar dinners (or more)! I wish I wasn’t so far away I would love know you better! You sound like such a great chick! xo

  5. Ok, I see. I’ve got to sign up, I guess.
I don’t leave my e-mail address in your comments
though, do I? I’m not too bright sometimes.

  6. Melissa…Yeah, I’m not going to benefit much from the $ to the Nat. Endowment for the Arts, the mouse habitat in Frisco, the new furniture for the federal bldgs in DC, the new sod on The Mall in DC, or the new polar ice breaker (Al Gore: “WTF?!?”). And only 15% of the stimulus even gets spent in 2009.
But that extra 11.70 @ week we each reap should really get this country back up on it’s feet, eh?

  7. I think I should stop watching CNN. If the tv is on, it’s
usually that. I hear first analyst saying one thing, the 2nd
another, the 3rd another, the 4th another and the other… another.
I like the way Grog phrased it in another comment section. My
Mom and Dad told me that money doesn’t grow on trees and you just
can’t print money. The economy doesn’t work that way.

I’m planting that tree tomorrow. What the hell, they’re printing money.

(Ok, when the snow is all gone)
