Divine intervention: great way to show appreciation for the technical aptitude shown by the crew.
But, where were those hands when they hit the flock of geese?
Is the idea that God whimsically decided to save these particular people while thousands of other people died in various other accidents around the world that same day, and while millions suffered and/or died from the thousands of painful and debilitating diseases he created, also on that same day? Doesn’t that seem extremely unlikely?
Oh, brother!
Not sure why to give god credit for the pilot’s quick thinking that saved their lives. Insulting to him.
Let’s blame god for 9/11, while we’re at it… I guess god was just busy that day?
People think it’s ‘god’s work’ when good things happen, but then say it was ‘god’s will’ when bad things happen. Go figure.
Could he had done this without splatting a couple of geese?????????
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m certainly not overly religious… if religious at all. I just thought it was a cool drawing. Some people read waaaay too much into the posts.
There are some geese living in a pond in my neighborhood.
You would not believe the pictures THEY”RE passing around to each other about this multiple homicide….
Jonco,
Couldn’t agree with you more.People, this is not a religious, serious or ethical web page. It’s suppose to be things that make you laugh or think.Don’t over analyze everthing!
Good points Jonco and Gene dude.
Likewise, don’t over analyze people’s comments either. They’re just random opinions. What’s this comment box for anyway?
I’d rather thank the Captain that landed the plane, you know, the REAL one.
LOL @ DJ
Good point Kristin. I’ll try to keep that in mind. I just don’t want people to look too hard for hidden meanings in the posts. Thanks.
Dumb luck.
The Captain of the plane deserves everything….
Jonco,
How can you think we wouldn’t see a “hidden” message in this picture? It absolutely implies that there was help beyond the pilot’s experience in reacting to the situation.
Religion is summed up succinctly by Michael Franti in the song “Hello Bonjour” from the “Yell Fire” CD:
“You say you’re a Christian cause God made you and
You say you’re a Muslim cause God made you
You say you’re a Hindu and the next man a Jew
Then we all kill each other cause God told us to”
Religion. A scourge on mankind since forever.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Just like the world trade center “the the Stairwell”
TOO FUCKING FUNNY!!!
The Great SKY WIZARD To the RESCUE!
Lets give credit where credit is due!
The Bloody Pilot is what saved all their asses!
Jonco, you don’t have to explain yourself. It’s obvious (or should be obvious) to any regular reader that your posts are random “bits” and “pieces” of things you deem interesting and do not necessarily represent your personal beliefs. 🙂
Yeah, lets deny the fact that the airplane escape shoot is actually designed to float, and that the pilot is of exeptional skill, that airplanes have limited floating capability (they can float for something like 10 minutes, maybe more in calm water). Everything is not man, it is god…
Give credit where credit is due.
Of course there’s another way to look at the comments. If it weren’t for all of the “serious” comments, we might not have experienced the LOL that DJ brought on. As far as the plane is concerned, it’s a good thing the water wasn’t as deep as some of the thoughts going into the comments here.
Thank God the pilot had the training to do what he did…
Yeah, I like it.
