  1. The American Soldier… the best of the best!!! We should stand up and applaud them every time we see one. We should shake their hands and thank them for what they are doing for their country. And when they are hurt doing what they do they should receive the finest care available with no questions asked. That goes for their families too. There should be nothing that we don’t do for them. I, for one, am so proud of all of them!!! Good job!!!!!!

  2. I am in awe of the Soldiers I served with. They are a can do group.

Remember to that every one of them regardless of branch of service is a volunteer. This is their free choice to do this.

I was never hit by an IED. I sure worried about them when I was in a convoy. I wasn’t even shot at that I was ever aware of. But I was always in the passenger seat, M-16 out the window locked and loaded.

It was strange, We would be going through a city and I would be scanning everyone I could looking for someone meaning us harm. I was at the same time wishing to be out in the desert thinking that would be easier.

Then once we were out in the desert, I was scanning every little terrain feature looking for someone getting ready to shoot at us. Then I was thinking it was easier in the cities. You just can’t win!

It was the adventure of my life being there.
