That maggot cheese is from Sardinia region and it’s outlaw according to the EU. The local government asked to the EU for a “traditional food” denomination (DOP) for that cheese.. we will see.
I remember seeing a type of cheese from France that is covered in mites (lice?) on the television. But wow, I would definitely try that maggot cheese if it is deemed safe to eat.
