  1. We agree! But obama is a cult follower of the global warming lie. How much damage will he do to our economy trying to stop something that man didn’t cause?

We have all seen the CO2 graph showing the “alarming” increase in CO2. What a joke. What a clever lie.

I will debunk the lie here and now. Please find a graph of this lie. Now look at the numbers on the left of the graph. They DO NOT increase very much now do they. Now take the SAME data and put that into a spreadsheet program on your computer. Do the same graph BUT have the bottom left number start at ZERO. Now the graph is almost flat. Now you have the truth!

Our warming and cooling is mostly controlled by the sun. Yes, that star 93,000,000 miles way that we orbit. Right now the sun is going through a normal phase where there are few to no sun spots. When that happens the sun is just a bit cooler. The result every time is we get a bit cooler.

Global Warming is a lie that is used to fool the common person to give up their money and freedoms to a repressive central government.

This global warming crap must stop and stop now!

  2. Wow. That is the dumbest rant I have heard yet.

Tens of thousands of scientists studying the issue for decades, of which 95% agree global warming is a real and present danger and they all forgot to set the number at the bottom left of their spreadsheets to ZERO.

Perhaps you should warn them they are doing it wrong.

  3. in high school it was ice age now global warming but scientist are coming out now and saying ice age again. so there is a 10 – 12 year sun cycle of warming and cooling i have been out of high school for 22 years hay that fits cool i should get my own tv show i can read the data better then Al (fly around in big privet jet burning lots of carbon based fuel) gore.

  4. Tim, I’d bet that I can produce just as many scientists that say the concept of global warming as put forth by todays eco alarmists is total bullshit.

  5. the real problem with global warming isnt if its happening or not or why its happening etc. The problem is were arguing the subject wrong. We are treating a subject that isnt science like it is science. Global warming isnt science its faith or dogma. There is nothing wrong with faith I am a religious man myself. However I know that faith and science have nothing to do with each other.

Global warming cant be considered science because its impossible to falsify. There is no way any data can ever be produced in any way that will disprove it. All scientific theories require this. there is nothing wrong with this. History is un-falsifiable as well as the existence of god. Like I said there is nothing wrong with this.

If you point out to a person who shares this dogma that in some parts of the world the temperature is going down they will say it the product of climate change. If you point out that certain places the temperature is going up they say its also climate change. If there is a low storm year its also climate change. If there is a high storm year it is also climate change. In fact any data at all that is not exactly on the average mark for the last 100 years or so is “proof” of global warming.

Dont believe me? Find someone who buys into this theory and ask them what single piece of data will prove there theory wrong. I am in buffalo right now and were having a particularly snowy winter, people here are blaming it on global warming. Two years ago we had a warm winter and people were saying that it is global warming as well.

    A lot like god.

  6. At December’s U.N. Global Warming conference in Poznan, Poland, 650 of the world’s top climatologists stood up and said man-made global warming is a media generated myth without basis. Said climatologist Dr. David Gee, Chairman of the International Geological Congress, “For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming?”
I asked myself, why would such obviously smart guy say such a ridiculous thing? But it turns out he’s right.
The earth’s temperature peaked in 1998. It’s been falling ever since; it dropped dramatically in 2007 and got worse in 2008, when temperatures touched 1980 levels.

Meanwhile, the University of Illinois’ Arctic Climate Research Center released conclusive satellite photos showing that Arctic ice is back to 1979 levels. What’s more, measurements of Antarctic ice now show that its accumulation is up 5 percent since 1980.

In other words, during what was supposed to be massive global warming, the biggest chunks of ice on earth grew larger. Just as an aside, do you remember when the hole in the ozone layer was going to melt Antarctica? But don’t worry, we’re safe now, that was the nineties.

Dr. Kunihiko, Chancellor of Japan’s Institute of Science and Technology said this: “CO2 emissions make absolutely no difference one way or the other … every scientist knows this, but it doesn’t pay to say so.” Now why would a learned man say such a crazy thing?

This is where the left gets lost. Their mantra is atmospheric CO2 levels are escalating and this is unquestionably causing earth’s temperature rise. But ask yourself — if global temperatures are experiencing the biggest sustained drop in decades, while CO2 levels continue to rise — how can it be true?

Ironically, in spite of being shown false, we must now pray for it. Because a massive study, just released by the Russian Government (reliable?), contains overwhelming evidence that earth is on the verge of another Ice Age.

Based on core samples from Russia’s Vostok Station in Antarctica, we now know earth’s atmosphere and temperature for the last 420,000 years. This evidence suggests that the 12,000 years of warmth we call the Holocene period is over.

Apparently, we’re headed into an ice age of about 100,000 years — give or take. As for CO2 levels, core samples show conclusively they follow the earth’s temperature rise, not lead it.

It turns out CO2 fluctuations follow the change in sea temperature. As water temperatures rise, oceans release additional dissolved CO2.

To think, early last year, it was suggested we spend 45 trillion dollars and give up five million jobs to fix global warming.

  8. Tim – You’re using old and debunked data…nowhere NEAR 95% consensus by scientists, and they are bailing on global warming like rats off a sinking ship. Time to get yourself caught up…NASA and the scientists did screw up…they’ve admitted it…see for yourself…

Here in Ohio in our State and Metro Parks you can see fossilized ferns, tropical fish & insects in the rock. You can also see the Great Lakes (carved out by the glaciers that brought rock here found only in the Hudson Bay area about 800 miles north.) What do you think caused all that? Dinosaur farts?

Climate’s also changing on Mars…think that’s our fault too?

    It’s the climate cycle…has always happened, always will. Here’s a thought…the Sun?….

  10. Read Michael Crichton’s State of Fear. He has a LOT of legitimate data that’s really food for thought. I don’t know if I accept all of it, but I’m not longer just a parrot for the Global Warming people. One of the reasons these people are changing from ‘Global Warming’ to ‘Sudden Climate Change’ is because the data no longer supports the idea of ‘Global Warming.’ Some areas are certainly getting warming, but others are certainly getting colder, and like it or not, human beings do not have a significant impact on that. Circumstantial evidence indicates that the Earth ROUTINELY moves through varying periods of warming and cooling, cycles within cycles. YOu have yearly cycles of seasons, but you also have temperature trends lasting decades, and more subtle cycles that last hundreds or even thousands of years, as with the ice-age cycles. It’s a very complex ballet of variables.

I also ask you to check on something. About 20 years ago I had a conversation with a guy who told me an interesting thing. Dow Chemical had a patent, ensuring a near monopoly, on refrigerants used in refrigerators and air conditioners: CFCs. The patent was coming to an end, meaning manufacturers of coolants and cooling devices would no longer be required to pay royalties to Dow. Dow pushed legislation to outlaw their own product, while at the same time getting a patent on a slightly altered version to which they would likewise hold a monopolizing patent. I wonder if that’s true.

  11. It has been much warmer in my state of Michigan. The State stone is the Petoskey Coral. That was a very long time ago!

Behind my house are hills that are called glacial moraines. Those are hills left behind by the retreating glaciers. When the house was built I was having fun in the dirt piles from the basement hole. I found two lumps that were not dirt clods. They were clumps of small clam shells.

So just where I live the climate has changed many times. We would be stupid to think that it won’t change again and again.

Jimbo, DJ, and Crispy great posts! I enjoyed reading them. Just more facts that trump the left. To bad Obama is a kool-aide drunk believer in the myth of global warming. How much will he hurt America going in the wrong direction? And will his fawning press ever report this?

    Stop global charming.

    Stop global storming.

    Stop global unwarming.

    etc, etc.

    Who really knows??
