Laura G sends along this video of her dog Roo. Laura writes: “I hope you enjoy…he’s a rotten boy who thinks he’s twenty feet tall and bullet proof!! I love your site…thanks for making me laugh every day!”
He was born that way…turns out two-leggedness is a pretty common birth defect with chihuahuas, most just don’t make it past the breeder, if you know what I mean 🙁 .
He gets around just as well as other dogs. He scoots on his chest or walks upright. As for the furniture, he can jump up on the couch after a few big hops…gotta build up momentum! He goes outside with the big dogs to use the bathroom and does his business the girly way, no lifting the back leg, unfortunately. He’s too spoiled to have to walk up stairs, somebody always carries him!
He’s well loved by the kids in my classroom as well. He’s being trained as a therapy dog to teach them about disabilities and “what Roo CAN do!”.
Too cool Laura G – How does he get around the house? On & off furniture? Outside to pee? Stairs? Was he born like that, or…?

Thanks for posting Jonco!
I had a friend who had a 3-legged chihuahua. That’s pretty amazing to see that guy get around on just two legs. Seems happy enough.
Cool! Thanks!
