He’s Baaaack!

I’m back and things should be back to normal here.  Except I woke up this morning feeling like I’ve been run over by a truck… and a big truck at that.  It’s not that I need to use on of the Hangover Helper recipes from the other day… though I did have a few beers.  I woke up with pain in my left hip.  I could barely scramble to the bathroom.  I fully expected to find a giant bruise on my hip, but I know I didn’t fall or bump into anything.

I have  a bit of DJD (degenerative joint disease), but it NEVER bothers me as long as I’m on meds.  This just struck out of the blue this morning.  I’ll manage as long as it doesn’t worsen, then I might go to the doctor.

Anyway, enough about me.

I’m proud of the way you guys handled the Open Mike on Friday.  83 comments – Wow.  Good job.  I think there was only one post that I had to delete. I haven’t had a chance to read them all or check out all the links posted, but I will.  I’m thinking Open Mike might become a regular feature here.

  2. Honestly Jon this is a very entertaining site in its own right. You’ve got a real talent for finding stuff that is funny, stuff that is weird, stuff that is controversial, and stuff that is hot. But this site has also evolved into a sort of neighborhood. We’ve got all sorts of people here, and I’ve grown to like a lot of them. Hell, we’ve even got out own internet lingo here: WIHI?

    Anyway, whenever you want to take some time off go for it. We’ll still be here when you get back. Throw it open whenever you need to, and we’ll hold down the fort. I for one truly appreciate all the hard work and tedious computer stuff that goes with keeping a site up and running.

    And I also appreciate the fact that you’ve managed to attract some very decent and funny regulars who I am proud to call my friends, if only in cyberspace….so far.

  3. Looks like everyone had a lot of fun with Open Mike and it’s excellent diversion. I totally agree with what Mike F. says. Hope your hip heals well (too much shaking your thing, maybe). Cheers, Bella
