Time contraints here at B&P

I’m going to have some time constraints the next couple of weeks.  I have a couple of projects I’m working on and will be doing a little traveling to Florida (this weekend), so I won’t have quite as much time as usual to scour.  I’ll still be here daily, I just won’t have as much time.

So, if you run across anything you haven’t seen on here that you think is particularly funny or interesting, send it (or a link to it) to [email protected].  I’d appreciate the help.

  1. hey jonco i send you stop all the time but i have only once made your page….I conclude two things based on this (not mutually exclusive)

    A. You get a lot of stuff
    B. my stuff isnt that good

Seriously keep up the good work, and enjoy florida. I am sure its got much better weather there now.

  2. careful….you might lose me here. I dumped a sight before cuz it didn’t update for 8/10 days. Seems I can’t even remember that sights’ name. Please don’t be “that guy”.

  3. First things first: who knows why Jon does or doesn’t use anything? It’s like being a newspaper reporter submitting an article. I worked on the publication side of newspapers and one magazine and I know that the reporter will submit an article that might be cut to death to the point the reporter doesn’t recognize it or perhaps it doesn’t run at all. That’s the editor’s job and I’ll bet “Editor” Jon will pick and choose what he wants to run. Just keep trying.

Secondly…..oh Jon, you may be sorry that you’ve put so much responsibility in our hands. Better protect yourself from the onslaught lol

I think it has to do with the number of beers. The more beers he has in him the funnier something seems.

  5. uncpeppi,
I feel the need to respond. First of all I said I would be here every day. I don’t think that means the site won’t be updated for 8/10 days. Having said that, part of me understands what it’s like to have a site you like just stop producing. I’ve had that happen many times. Sometimes there’s an explanation about the change…. sometimes not… leaving you to wonder what happened to the site or the person running it.
One site I visit every day has been inactive for a couple weeks now without any explanation. Sure, I could kick it off my daily list, or “drop it” as you say, but I’ve always enjoyed some of the things I found there and shared them with you. I may start checking it every two or three days … just takes a few seconds to see if anything has changed. I don’t want to miss anything, if and when it comes back online.
I’ve always tried to keep B&P readers informed about anything that might affect this blog. I, and I’m sure many other bloggers, enjoy bringing stuff to our readers…. but this isn’t my livelihood and you telling me to be careful or you might drop me, just kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

I’m glad you visit B&P and I hope that you’d check back in the event I miss a day or two… not that that is expected.
Maybe the content here isn’t good enough for you to do that. I’m guessing it wasn’t on the sight you dropped since you don’t even remember it’s name.
Regardless, thanks for reading B&P… as long as you do.

  6. Posting reader submitted items:
I do get a few things submitted every day, and I appreciate that. I really do.
Reasons I don’t publish some submissions:
    * I’ve already posted it
    * I didn’t find it funny or interesting
    * It’s not suitable for the B&P audience (my judgment) [There are some things I’d like to post but they’d be objectionable] Contrary to popular belief I do have standards
    * I couldn’t find a YouTube or usable video (for videos submitted)

Please don’t be upset if I don’t post your submission.

P.S. I don’t recall many submissions from Isiah. You sure you’re sending them to me?

  7. Jonco
First and foremost, my intention was not offend you in any way and I am hoping you will forgive me if I did. I didn’t want to rub you wrong and to be honest I didn’t want to rub you at all! I truly enjoy visiting your blog and look forward to it each day. I must force myself to limit my time on the computer because I am a creature of habit. Consequently, I have only two blogs (which I consider “top shelf” for enjoyment) that I look forward to visiting on a daily basis. One of those sites happens to be yours. I used to have three sites in my “needle” but as I said before, I decided to drop one. When I read you “may not have as much time” my first reaction was to think the dope in my needle is dwindling away….OMG! What am I gonna do?! You see Jonco, I like to share my dope with other people and if I feel like I’m not gonna get my fix and then share, well I react in an irrational manner. Much like a drug addict, yes? I guess I just freaked out! And now, since you have acknowledged my habit, it seems my shakes and nervous twitches are subsiding. I’m ready to start sharing your blog with everyone again. OK, I gotta go now. I have many calls to make so we know our “dealer” isn’t going anywhere. (whew….that was close). ps jonco….you can stop rubbing my forehead now…..and stop saying “shhhh its OK its OK”.
With all due respect Jonco, uncpeppi

  8. Seems like we might need to start a web chapter of ‘B&P Anonymous’.

I once started a half-way house for girls who won’t go all the way.

  9. There’s a site that used to update with several new posts every day. Then one day it pretty much stopped. There have been exactly 3 posts since mid 2007, but I still visit once every couple of weeks to see if something might come up. (I often wonder if the guy made a new site, but there’s no way of knowing.) If Jonco wants to take a few months off, or a year or 2, I’ll check back.
